2016年，Nadia Eghbal 发布了“道路和桥梁：我们的数字基础设施背后看不见的劳动力（Roads and Bridges:The Unseen Labor Behind our Digital Infrastructure）”，这让我们看到，只有少数人在维护支撑大量互联网及其运行服务的软件。
