Richard Lin has about 10 years experience in open source field in Mainland China and Taiwan, especial in establishing developer ecosystem, open source business model, open source intellectual property management and community governance.

He currently works in Huawei Technologies, as the Operations Director of Huawei AI developer ecosystem.

He is founding member and council member of Kaiyuanshe which is an Open Source Org in China.

During working in Open Source Software Foundry (OSSF), Academia Sinica in Taiwan, his research area is open source business model and open source governance; in addition, he offers consultant service of open source as a strategy.
